so I got 37 screenshots done so far (though even these can be subject to change if even better ones come along)

need more gloomy Necron, heroic BT and Horde Imperial Guard pics.

I'm also saving some room for SoB and DE pics but we'll worry about those later.

i don't like them myself tbh.. but thanks anyway
my pc can take it with everything high, forcehighpoly and fullresteamcolor.. but it takes a toll on my ram which im not even using to the fullest cus of 32-bit so it tends to randomly freeze ever few seconds.. but ill upgrade soon. sorry to go offtopic..
anyhoo ill post some better ones soon and im sure so will mihaelkeehl and others :)

Quote:

shift+f1 is to remove the selection circles and status bar right? do u have to have -dev for it to work? cus it doesn't for me.

A short Tut on how to make your game look much much better some simple screenies that should show you how ;)

To put -forcehighpoly right click your DC icon and go to properties. and add -forcehighpoly at the very end. there has to be a space between the last quotation( " ) and -forcehighpoly
Image

These show where and how to add fullres_teamcolour=1 which makes all textures look x100 times better! ..but takes a chunk out of your performance so i wouldn't use it if you don't have a good PC (quad core 2.5ghz+, 4GB+, 896MB+ video ram)

go to your main DC folder and look for this file and open it with notepad or another such program
Image

then as in the picture add fullres_teamcolour=1, then go to File and save it

It must be there, it's the file containing all DoW settings. If it isn't, launch GraphicsConfig.exe and re-configure DoW.
megazogg wrote:
Besides that, do not use "-forcehighpoly" as FOK models are far more complex then original models in DOW1.

tried but couldn't edit my last post.. damn 5 URL limit! :x

anyhoo.. as for actually taking the screenshots heres how for those who don't already know.

once you'v made the autoexec.lua file and its working in-game. play a skirmish or online whatever suits you(i prefer skirmish so i can pause the game) and whenever you see something interesting or cool happening (sync-kill, bunch of melee units together or just a massive WAAAAAAAAAAAGHH!!!) pause the game, hit shift+tab to remove the HUD(or whatever bind you set for it) and press the Prt Scr located..
Image here! ..on most keyboards at least.

this will have saved the screenshot. which after your game, can be found in your screenshot folder. to get there go to your main DC(or Soulstorm and probably same for other DoWs) folder and look for the screenshot folder.
Image

where all your screenshots will be saved!
Image

now they can be uploaded through any image uploading site.
i use ImageShack as you can post a thumbnail of the picture and not the whole picture itself or a link
Image copy that link

that should be it..
NOW BACK TO WORK YOU SLACKERS!
