England 103 for 5 (Stokes 12*, Bairstow 12*) trail India 455 (Kohli 167, Pujara 119, Ashwin 58, Moeen 3-98) by 352 runs Scorecard and ball-by-ball detailsAt every critical juncture of this typically subcontinental Test match, Englands cricketers have inadvertently been telegraphing their sense of impending doom. It was visible in Alastair Cooks body language after losing a vital toss; it resurfaced on the first afternoon when Virat Kohli was dropped at fine leg by Adil Rashid, and there were tremors again this morning, when Moeen Alis offbreaks began to find the purchase necessary to check Indias innings before it could run away. But it wasnt until the second afternoon at Visakhapatnam that their deep-seated pessimism began gushing to the surface like an Andhra Pradesh oil strike. By the close of a gripping and debilitating third session, with Indias trio of spinners tormenting both sides of a succession of stick-or-twist blades, the destiny of this contest was all but pre-ordained.England limped to the close on 103 for 5, in reply to Indias 455, having contributed massively to their own downfall with a succession of hare-brained departures, but equally, having had their minds and techniques scrambled by the dripping-tap accuracy of, in particular, the offspinners R Ashwin and debutant Jayant Yadav.Ravindra Jadejas left-arm spin played its part as well, darting the ball in flat and fast to challenge the front pad and leave Englands batsmen no time to gather their thoughts between deliveries. But it was Ashwin who applied the surgical strikes, his 12 overs yielding 15 runs and two wickets, including the crowning scalp of Joe Root for 53 and the hapless Ben Duckett for 5.Meanwhile Jayant, shrewdly handed a debut in response to Englands selection of a record seven left-handers, showcased a tall and tidy technique, and accounted of one of that number as his maiden Test wicket. Moeen Ali, one of Englands four centurions at Rajkot, was struck on the shin as he pressed forward to another wicket-to-wicket delivery, and sent on his way lbw for 1 after Virat Kohli made a correct call for the DRS.Soon afterwards, Jayant should have had a second when he bounced an offbreak off the top of Ben Stokes off stump and into the keepers gloves without dislodging it. It was a memorably bizarre footnote to a fine first day of Test action from the new boy, that had earlier included a key role - once again in tandem with Ashwin - in a 64-run stand for Indias eighth wicket, but was perhaps most notable for the athletic slide and throw from deep square leg that ran out Haseeb Hameed for 13 and wrecked what little poise Englands innings had managed to generate. It hadnt looked too promising in the early moments of Englands innings either, and Cook in particular had lived dangerously in his 11-ball stay. He all but popped a leading edge back to the bowler in Mohammad Shamis opening over, but could do nothing about the beauty that bowled him in his second. After being lined up by two deliveries that curled away to the slips, Cook was beaten by a sensational nipbacker that smashed the off stump in two as it nipped back through the gate. But despite such a seismic shock to Englands system, there had been a glimmer of hope, in the form of a 47-run stand for the second wicket between Hameed and Root, that England might somehow extract enough runs from a still serviceable wicket to haul themselves close to first-innings parity. Root, in particular, had been responding impressively to the challenge of a skiddy low surface, and at one stage during a probing new-ball spell from Indias seamers had advanced on Shami to clip him aggressively through midwicket for four. But he was entirely culpable in the moment of madness that sold his younger partner down the river. Chivvying for the second run as he clipped Jadeja off the pads, he hurtled halfway down the track only to turn abruptly on his heels as Jayants throw fizzed in from the deep. Wriddhiman Saha did brilliantly in front of the stumps to gather and flick backwards in one moment, clipping the bails as Hameed tumbled for the crease in vain.At 51 for 2, the door was ajar and Indias spinners did not require a second invitation to bring out the battering ram. Duckett, whose stroke-laden technique had been an asset when counterattacking against Bangladesh, proved as a leaky as a fishermans net when facing the best spin bowler in the world, and having consistently exposed his stumps in a bid to attack Ashwin out of the rough, it was to nobodys great surprise when they duly were splattered for 5.Two overs later, and Ashwin had the big one. Root had been playing a blinder in the circumstances, galvanised by his own supreme form and the knowledge of his role in Hameeds demise. But, against Ashwin, even his free-scoring methods had been tempered, until Kohli tempted him fatally by removing his long-on and inviting a hoick over the top. He took the bait but failed to get to the pitch, and Umesh was on hand at long-off to cue Indias delirium. The familiar failings with the bat made Englands determined efforts with the ball earlier in the day somewhat redundant. Moeen, who had been underused on the opening day of the match, claimed three quick wickets in the second hour of the morning before Rashid and Stokes mopped up the resistance after lunch.Ashwin, Indias main source of runs on the day, was lucky to benefit from a drop at slip by Stokes when he had made 17, but the unlikely let-off had a spin-off benefit for England. India ran a single as the ball ricocheted off Stokes knee at slip, and one ball later, Stokes made amends by snaffling a faster, lower edge to his right to see off Indias main man, Kohli, for 167 instead.Kohlis early dismissal enabled England to keep Indias innings closer to 450 than 550, but by the close, in spite of a spirited 15-overs of resistance from Stokes and Jonny Bairstow, it was looking like more than enough. Yankees manager Joe Girardi says hes thinking about allowing Rivera to do it this weekend, when the Yankees finish their season with a three-game series at the Houston Astros. Dallas hasn't ruled out the star quarterback for Sunday nights game against Philadelphia, but all signs point to Romos back injury pushing Kyle Orton into the starting role after two years of limited play as the backup. Surely Ortons name isn't the first that comes to mind for fans wanting a change after years of damaging interceptions, fumbles or, most infamously, the field goal flub when Romo dropped the snap on a kick that could have won his first playoff game in 2006. Nike Vapormax Mens . "Were just throwing s--- at the wall hoping something sticks," said Tortorella about the possible line combinations for Fridays game against Columbus. Jay Feely kicked a 41-yard field goal in overtime, and the Cardinals edged the Tennessee Titans 37-34 in overtime after blowing a 17-point lead late in the fourth quarter. The Boomers have been one of Australias greatest Olympic success stories in Rio de Janeiro, with Australians, basketball fans or not, all marvelling at their success.Australia, the world No. 11 team, so far have achieved victories against teams ranked No. 3, No. 5 and No. 6 while also pushing Team USA to the brink.Considered by many to be no more than an outside chance of a medal, the Boomers have proved everyone wrong. This was supposed to be the what if Olympics for the Boomers. What if they had a full-strength side? What if Andrew Bogut was 100 percent? What if Ben Simmons had been selected?Bogut is the talisman for this team, and his play has shown no sign of the knee injury he sustained in the NBA Finals slowing him down. But he is not the only reason for the Boomers relatively smooth progress to the semifinals. Here are five keys to the Boomers success in Rio de Janeiro.BackcourtMatthew Dellavedova and Patty Mills have been the dominant pairing throughout the Olympics. Mills is the second-leading scorer of all players, averaging 21.2 points, behind only Bojan Bogdanovic from Croatia with an average of 25.3, while Dellavedova leads all for assists, averaging 7.7 per game.Mills has been so good that questions now are being placed whether he should replace Tony Parker as the starting point guard for San Antonio Spurs in the coming NBA season.Championship ExperienceThe Boomers boast four players - Bogut, Dellavedova, Mills and Aron Baynes -- who have tasted the ultimate success in the NBA, the same number as the almighty Team USA.Australians have been involved in the past three NBA titles, and that experience is shining through in Rio. Team leader Boguts maturity within the group has notably been at the forefront of the campaign.Heart Labelled underdogs and given a minimal chance to succeed, the Boomers have played with a chip on their shoulder and wanting to prove they belonged on the contenders list.Dellavedova attacks every contest with the ferocity of a footballer, but he isn't the only player in the squad willing to put his body on the lline, as Aron Baynes has shown by drawing multiple charges under the ring, for the good of the team.ddddddddddddBack upsDavid Andersen has been the standout off of the bench, and the 34-year-old who signed recently with National Basketball League team Melbourne United has attracted interest from the NBA.Ryan Broekhoff, notably, is also out to prove he deserves his chance on the big stage, and he has provided valuable minutes off the bench while also stepping in to the starting line-up when Mills was rested.Andrej LemanisCoach is never the easiest job: you shoulder the blame when the team struggles, while the players are praised when the team finds success. The playing group has certainly starred in Rio, but Lemanis has been magnificent during the Olympics. His rotations have been perfect, and on-the-fly changes (such as) during games have proved instrumental. With Dellavedova arguably the player of the tournament, Lemanis is a standout for coach of the tournament. No team is perfect, however, and that is true with the Boomers; while they have looked unbeatable at times, there is a weakness.Offensive reboundingOf the four teams remaining, the Boomers average the equal-lowest number of offensive rebounds per game (10.5). They are equal with Spain but below Serbia (11.3) and the U.S. (14.7). And note the lopsided offensive rebounding battle - 21-8 - when Team USA inflicted upon Australia their only defeat to date. The offensive rebounding battle hasn't proved too costly in the other Boomers games, but the battle of the boards will be a focal point against Serbia. With Serbia holding an advantage on the offensive glass, the Boomers will need to ensure they're not afforded easy second chance looks in what could turn to be a close semifinal battle. The Boomers should go in full of confidence having already beaten Serbia in Rio, and victory will see Australia guaranteed of their first mens basketball medal in Olympic history.
