A quick question, how many people have actually patched Soulstorm to 1.2?

Reason being, it conflicts with the mod's online gameplay if someone is using the original Soulstorm and another person is using Soulstorm which has been patched to 1.2.

I for one have the game patched to 1.2.

If you don't have the game up to date, that's your own silly fault and FoK won't work properly (at least, the Internal Soulstorm version won't).

It's actually some silly screw up on either Relic or Ironlore's fault that I can't patch my game, so I'm stuck on 1.1 Soulstorm. But, I run internal build fine.

Reinstalling the game should fix that -7-. I've never heard of people's patch version messing up so don't be so quick to blame the developers.

Failing the reinstall, simply PM me and see if I can help.

I'm at Soulstorm 1.0 and have no problems with FoK at all. In fact, until just recently not being able to play with Archive and his fancypants updated, I didn't even think there was Soulstorm patches out! :P

. . . you shouldn't be able to play online without being updated to 1.2. Mebbe I'm wrong on that, but I seriously advise patching.

As well as fixing numerous bugs, it greatly improves vanilla Soulstorm in terms of balance.

And I wouldn't have had to reinstall SVN and FoK trying to figure out what was wrong. :)

Patching is a non-issue if you have the Steam version of Soulstorm...Steam patches any titles you obtain via its service.

If you already have a copy of Soulstorm on disc, there's a free and completely legit way to get it for Steam btw. Assuming you have Steam installed, Click on Add a Game, select Activate a Product on Steam, enter your serial #, DL and done.

Just sayin' :geek:

You double click on the executable file.

Or register with Steam. That's easier (forgot about that MK :D).

Try adding ".exe" to the end of the filename.

Try not renaming the file when you download it, I think.

Alright, the apps that allow you to use a race without having the game for them installed also interfers with online gameplay for both the internal and public versions of FoK. I found this out after testing with Chompster and Onard.

Just wanted to throw that out there. :)

true, but only if not everyone is using it. if everyone is(and the same one) then there's no problem.

when i play with Bloodtitan it works perfectly fine. most likely due to both of us using the same one

Or you could, y'know, have the game installed.

Or have the game .exe in the right directory and the correct registry keys in your system registry. That works as well.

Since I got my new computor I have been to lazy to put the patchs back on but now I am. I downloaded them both saved them to desktop double clicked on 1.10 and installed it. Went to check my game and its still 1.00 and it now says that i have a unrecogized version of the game. The patch name is ss_en_1.00_1.10_patch and ss_en_1.10_1.20_ patch. Help?

Sorry for posting this problem for the hundreth time but I just don't know whats wrong. Got a new computor and finally got around to installing the game and then this. For some reason if I click on multiplayer and download the latest patch from there it just say 100% and does nothing. So i always go to DOW files and download the patchs from there. I got a new computor so I installed the game and downloaded both patchs and double clicked on the first one and the installer went fine and showed me the release notes but my game was still at the original version. I tryed to install it again and it says " This patch updates Dawn of War version 1.00, buy you appear to have a unrecognized version installed. If logging into Relic Online to download the latest patches does not solve this problem, you may need to reinstall Dawn of War. (Error code 10267)" I do not use Relic Online so I reinstalled the game and the same problem happened. I checked my version and its DOW Engine 1.1.100, Dawn of War: Soulstorm 1.0, Build 100. So yeah version 1.00. I bought the retail game years ago not a pirated one. I added it as a non-steam game to steam and I know there's some way to patch games though steam, how does that work? I had a problem once with the name of the patch and someone told me to put .exe on it and it worked. But I don't know were to put it in the patch. Either way here is the current names of the patches ss_en_1.00_1.10_patch and ss_en_1.10_1.20_patch.
