I'm curious, are these things you guys are working on for FoK or just for fun (or both)? Especially @ Gorb with the Tyranid building.

I have no problems implementing these things in the future, so long as the love gets spread around so that Imperial Guard doesn't have more assets than the entire rest of the mod :-\.

I believe the models gorb makes can't be used as hes using a (not for public distribution) licnesed software.

Like a university practice programme i believe.

My modelling is just for practise, and I can do whatever I want with them as long as it's non-profitable.

Well, I suppose my Tyranid stuff will eventually go into my Tyranid mod, but that's a long way off. Still mastering the basics at the moment.

so ive decided to get into modelling, animating and the like, I have 3dsmax 8, santos' tools 0.4, santos' tools 2, rdf tool and mudflaps' whm and whe tools, thing is, I can't seem to get it all to work, a tutorial i found on modelling says that I copy the folders and .dll's from the 3dsmax folder in the dark crusade mod tools folder to my 3dsmax directory. done. says I should copy the scripts, ui, and help folders from santos' tools to my max directory. done. then it says go into 3dsmax and go to utilities, maxscript and select WHE convert from the dropdown menu, but it doesn't appear, what have i done wrong, or not done? I'm really confused and want to be able to model and animate, please help! On a sidenote, are models in 3dsmax 8 not for public distribution (non-profit)?
